A Virtually Painless Experience
Dr. Filion uses the modern, minimally invasive no-scalpel vasectomy technique which involves using an ultra-fine needle to freeze the scrotum. Then, instead of using a scalpel to cut through the scrotum, a small pinhole is made with a gentle tissue separator. The vas deferens is then isolated and cut. No stitches required for the skin, less pain, faster recovery and return to work.

Dr. Filion is a family physician practicing in Central Alberta. He completed an undergraduate degree, a physiotherapy masters degree, medical school and residency at the University of Alberta. He then completed additional training in the no-scalpel vasectomy technique with world renowned surgeon, Dr. Douglas Stein in Florida.
